Welcome to MaanKi Thali & Indian Street Food
The inception of MaanKi Thali is born out of a vision to provide a warm and homely food eating experience.
Back in 2020, the pandemic ceased daily lives globally and people were struggling to find access to quality homemade food. In an attempt to do our bit towards those craving the comfort of homemade food, Kinjal Darji kickstarted our tiffin service in Mason, Cincinnati.
The food we served was a range of pure Gujarati delicacies that were prepared directly at home using authentic Indian ingredients. Our food garnered a lot of attention and we received bulk orders owing to the taste, quality, and portion size.
To serve more tastebuds and take our food expedition to new heights, we have now started our new restaurant venture MaanKi Thali in Mason, Cincinnati.
This restaurant will offer authentic Gujarati food items that you will cherish for life.
To make your experience further more memorable, we will serve it in Copper Thalis to give you the authentic feel of Gujarati culture as well as offer the health benefits associated with it.
Heritage of THALIS
The meaning of food in India is not simply limited to timely meals.
Rather, an effort is made to offer a wholesome eating experience by presenting a palette that contains different flavors in one plate and satisfies every taste bud. This palette is popularly termed as "thali" in India and offers sweet, sour, salty, astringent, bitter, and spicy dishes in one place.
Owing to the rich and diverse culture of India, different regions of the country have led to the emergence of varied Thalis, such as Mughlai Thali, Rajasthani Thali, Gujarati Thali, and South Indian Thali to name a few.
